U.S. Army 2nd Lt. C. Perry Rich of the Philippine Scouts, a native of Indiana,
died in the crash
of his
Wright Model C
into Manila Bay on November 14, 1913. Unmarried and 30 years of age, he was the tenth U.S. Army pilot to die in a flying accident.
