Harold D. Kantner received flight instruction at the
Moisant aviation school on Long Island in 1910, where he became an instructor, aircraft designer and test pilot. He designed and built the Morane-Kantner Military Monoplane, a modification of the Morane Saulnier "G". The aircraft
was destroyed in the Hempstead Trials on December 18, 1913. Kantner/Moisant
built more of them, particularly
for use in the Mexican Revolution.
